Deaths and Divorces Mark Court Day at County Seat

Petitions for divorce were heard as time for answers expired with several defaulted cases. Britt Mackrill and Mina Sweeney were granted divorces with alimony and costs set. Maud Frank also obtained a divorce amid cruelty charges. Other cases included various answer and cross petition actions. Foreign Missionary Society entertained the Atlantic sister society with a noon meal, speeches, and a China work program, followed by ice cream and cake.

Death of Mrs F L Marl in Council Bluffs

Mrs F L Marl died at her home in Council Bluffs after a lingering illness of consumption. She was the wife of F L Marl and leaves nine children. Formerly Mary Meisner, she lived here before marriage and recent years in Council Bluffs. Remains brought to this city, met by relatives, burial at Pleasant Valley cemetery after services by Rev. Dudley. Augustus H Zeigler of Anita, Ia, filed bankruptcy in federal court at Council Bluffs stating unsecured liabilities of 18016 and secured debts of 1100. Assets $75 in household goods and $250 in bonds, all exempt. Zeigler practices law in Anita, formerly publisher of the Des Moines Leader. Wakefield ram photos offered at Telegraph office. No Clew to The Thief at the Circus Grounds
