Red Polled Cattle Breaks Ground in Benton Township Herd

W J Newton, northwest Benton township, farms about eighty acres, keeping a registered Red Polled herd reputed as the best for butter milk and beef. Bad Men Captured Near Can Factory Sheriff Captures Ford and Aitchinson

Sheriff Hill received a Marshalltown alert listing four men described as Ford Aitchinson and two others to arrest if found. Last night two men matching the descriptions were detained at a canning factory and jailed, with Marshalltown notified. They are charged with beating a board bill and were taken to Marshalltown by an officer this morning.

Marsh returns from Chicago hospital after typhoid fever

A local note reports Harry Marsh coming home from Chicago where he spent much time in the hospital after typhoid fever last winter.
