Sixty Foreign Ships Enter American Registry Under War Threats
Washington October 6 sixty foreign built vessels totaling 233 781 gross tons have been removed from capture risk by admission to U S registry according to the commerce department. Fifty four sailed under the British flag earlier while four German and two Belgian ships complete the first group. Fifty seven operate in Atlantic waters with three Pacific liners.
