Presbyterial Assembly Aims at Creed Revision and Leadership Changes
The one hundred thirteenth Presbyterian general assembly adjourned after nearly two weeks with the creed revision put to a 21 member committee. Disputes over chairmanship of the revision group led to motions to reconsider, settled by Dr Dickey who urged honoring his successor as moderator. A special evangelistic committee was appointed and aid sought for Jacksonville church losses. Secret society admission to the church faced a judiciary ruling barring members, signaling tighter church discipline.
