Big Atlanta Fertilizer Plant to Rise with $1 Million Investment
A new $700,000 to $1,000,000 fertilizer works branch will be built by Armour Fertilizer Works near Atlanta on the Western and Atlantic road four and a half miles from the city. The plant will span about 25 acres with brick and stone buildings and a fireproof machinery area. It aims to start for the fall trade, with a 6,000 ton annual capacity, and will include a separate sulphuric acid plant and a large mixing facility. Raw materials include phosphate rock from Florida and Tennessee, blood and tankage, and imported potash from Germany.
