Mumford Hall Will Be Completed in Macon Georgia
At a Georgia Industrial Home trustees meeting in Macon plans were laid to raise $12,000 to finish Mumford Memorial hall and renew a several thousand dollar indebtedness. The effort aims to present the project to Macon and the state within a week with proceeds from Georgians who contributed to the orphanage’s upkeep and to perpetuate the founder W. S. Mumford. The hall is to be a useful and artistic building once interior work is completed. The structure now houses children and supports their schooling and industrial training, but remains unfinished and operating income has gone to expenses, creating a current deficiency to be addressed publicly.
