Monroe La March 11 As a result of a train wrecker the south bound express on the Arkansas and Guilt Railroad derailed 20 miles north of the city shortly before midnight last night Engineer C W McDaniel was instantly killed and Fireman 7 3 Gowar was seriously hurt No other injuries occurred An investigation showed that a switch had been thrown and repacked while the signal light had been turned out to show white The train was bound from Little Rock to Monroe and was traveling at a rapid rate.
