Court hearing on Atlanta Insurance stock cut clash

Judge Candler heard C. J. Simmons petition against Atlanta Home Insurance as rival street railway fights bleed into finance. Simmons claims stock reduction harms stockholders and business while the company says directors only recommended a vote and the act allows reductions with stockholders’ consent. The case features claims of interlocking interests among Atlanta Railway and Power Company Trust Company of Georgia and East Atlanta Land Company and ends with potential restraining order to block any reduction.
