Government sources report that Japan has ordered Viscount Adk to return home. The move follows diplomatic tensions and signals a shift in regional policy.
In Washington Count Aoki the Japanese ambassador says he will return home for a verbal report to Tokyo on matters of mutual interest. He notes immigration as a key topic and stresses the friendship between Japan and the United States. Aoki’s recall is not a rebuke and his plan to visit the Pacific coast may be explored on the way home.
John Redman a white man from Weteter county was convicted of larceny and sentenced by Judge Lewman to three years in the federal penitentiary and a 1000 fine after an attempted assault on Deputy Marshal Charles Williams during a raid. Margaret D Hogten actress and Daniel Frohman’s wife is reported unwell after overexertion affecting her role in The Thief with Kyte Bellew as understudy.
In United States district court Mrs. Annie M Bradley, charged with murdering former Senator Arthur M Brown, was found not guilty after one juror persisted for manslaughter overnight. The courtroom crowd, mostly women, erupted in subdued applause as the verdict was read and Bradley left custody to return home with support from friends.

William J Bryan spent over an hour in the senate marble room exchanging courtesies with Democratic and Republican members. Governors and notable Nebraskans visited him, including Governor Vardaman of Mississippi. Bryan called the visit simply social and said he would depart tonight for New York to join his wife and daughter bound for Europe.
Bristol Tennessee December 4 150 iron rolling mills workers laid off as coke ovens at Stonega Virginia close leaving 500 idle. Norton Coal Company shuts ovens with 60 percent of men laid off. Coke price cut. operators say production unprofitable.

Judge Powers said goodbye to Salt Lake City as U S District Attorney Baker states Mrs Bradley was given a fair trial and twelve jurors found her not guilty, ending government action for now. She plans to travel to Goldfield, Nevada to join her sister, following an early ballot by the jury before midnight.
In Detroit at 318 Randolph Street Mrs Jane Griffith shot Dr J A Attridge aged 38 and later shot herself after gathering a revolver from the bedroom bureau. Mr John Griffith aged 35 was also wounded. both were rushed to hospitals in critical condition. A reconciliation and past tensions were noted by the husband and sister Mina Wade observed the events.

Bishop Henry M Turner of the African Methodist Episcopal church faced censure after marrying Laura P Lemon, his private secretary and a divorced woman. Richmond police believe New York crooks trailed Dr Edward Fribourg and his wife celling a handbag containing about 19000 dollars in jewels aboard a Pullman car en route to North Carolina. The robbery was discovered between Fredericksburg and Richmond as passengers awoke. Detained Pullman staff and a search of passengers yielded no clue, while Madame Fribourg had shown the jewels in New York recently.
Representatives Hardwick and Edwards propose a bill to repeal the fourteenth and fifteenth amendments. They seek to disfranchise all African Americans unless states permit voting. Edwards argues disfranchisement sentiment is growing nationwide and that repealing the war amendments would remove black political influence while leaving whites untouched.
