Bradstreet's review on business situation
Bradstreet's Review notes flood tide demand and widespread manufacturing and mercantile activity. It cites low stock prices amid international tensions, ease in southern pig iron and high coke prices delaying building, weather sag in northwest retail trade, raw silk softness, and persistent labor unrest. It says production is sold up, making near term orders impractical. Weekly bank clearings total 4,665,662,000.
