Lakeside at Athens to become popular public swimming resort
The old waterworks pond at Athens named Lakeside will be converted by owners John D. Moss and E J Bonda mot into a 120 by 30 foot swimming pool with depths from eighteen inches to four feet. A railing will separate pool from deep water, bath houses and bathing gear will be provided, boats purchased, and a naptha launch planned. Open to the public within about ten weeks, the project aims to be a safe, enjoyable city recreation site.
