The 75th O. W. I. held its 23rd annual reunion in Albany with 30 veterans and many guests. Captains Monfort Gano and Knowldon, Majs Fox Jewett and Grosvenor spoke. Prof. Dille gave the welcome. Miss Pearl Roberts read a poem. a moving tribute titled Lest We Forget honored J. Lindley. The gathering praised Albany and planned a three day next reunion at Marshfield.

Delivery Wagon Upset Injures Six Year Old Russell
Clarence Russell six, of West Union street, was severely cut on the forehead and scalp when a Buckeye grocery delivery wagon backed into another wagon and toppled, throwing him to the street. His arm was bruised but not broken, and danger of blood poisoning was possible but not immediate. Nearby, another accident with Higgin’s wagon had occurred weeks earlier, making five similar incidents at the same spot in six months.

Glouster Adopts New Electric Light Plant and Water Works
Glouster begins operation of a new electric light plant with fifty arc lamps and modern carbon lamps. The town, owning both light and water services, plans to accept the plant after a one month trial while selling old gas lights as junk. Contracts run by Russell Engine Co. for 16422 include two large pumping engines for water supply and a 150 HP dynamo engine. The town faces fuel and pumping costs, with Continental Coal Co charging 125 per month to pump water from mine 256 before full completion of the well work.

Struck by a Freight Near Planing Mill
Glouster Sept 27 Frank Oliver a 17 year old youth was struck by a freight while attempting to board near the planing mill. He was struck in the side and a peritonitis developed. The accident occurred Sunday evening and he is in a serious condition with little hope of recovery.
