Quilts Donated to Five Athens County EMS Stations by Local Builder

Patricia Colwell of the Nelsonville area donated 20 bed quilts to Athens County Emergency Medical Services stations in the past two years. EMS Chief Rick Callebs praised the gifts as beautiful. The county sent a thank you letter for 10 quilts this year and 10 last year, with about $2000 spent on materials. Colwell retires from Ohio University and quilts as a hobby, working at home on various projects. Each quilt measures about 80 by 90 inches and Colwell notes her daughter Amber Pyle suggested the idea. Stations span Athens, Albany, Glouster, Nelsonville and Coolville.
