OhioHealth Nelsonville Health Center prepares to welcome patients October 17 after a year of construction at 11 John Lloyd Evans Memorial Drive. An October 15 community open house and health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will showcase tours, health screenings, a cooking demo, farmer’s market, and family activities as VIPs receive flier invitations. The $4 million, 9,800 square foot facility emphasizes urgent and primary care and will be managed by OhioHealth O Bleness Hospital.

City wins grant for Richland Avenue pedestrian crossing
Athens secures a 1.8 million dollar grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation through the Federal Highway Administration to build a grade separated pedestrian crossing under Richland Avenue between West Green Drive and Bobcat Lane.
