Fire at Coolsville Lumber Yard Damages Over 1500 Feet
A blaze in the Simeon W. Gray & Co. lumber yard at Coolville began from planing mill sparks and threatened total loss. Firefighters, aided by river water from a mile distant, contained the flames after an hour. Sheriff Riley was severely burned on one side of his face while aiding.
