Mobile clinic brings free breast cancer screening to 16 counties
Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine partners to run a Mobile Health Clinic offering free breast cancer screenings for women ages 18 to 64, regardless of income or insurance. Two 40 foot mobile units travel across 16 counties including Athens and Hocking, with funding from OUHCOM and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Clinics accept appointments or walk-ins, often pairing with local hospitals for mammograms, aiming to reduce late‑stage diagnoses and boost education on prevention and next steps.
