Experts discuss defiant high school students in Columbia
In Columbia South Carolina experts debated how adults should handle defiant teens after disturbing videos showed a school resource officer flipping a girl from her desk and tossing her across the floor. The discussion covered the SRO role, when intervention is appropriate, and possible alternatives such as counseling or de-escalation strategies, with legal questions about charges and discipline.
