His death follows the earlier discovery of his nephew William Bonecutter and involves a family with multiple past deaths in the last decade. June Adkinson of Pt. Pleasant was jailed as foul play was suspected.
Cincinnati mayor held Radeene of Deer Park for grand jury action on a murder charge in the shooting death of Ohio River pilot Captain Augustus Kirschner. The victim’s son identified Kauba as the shooter, while Kauba claimed innocence and contested alibi from a boy and girl at a public library.
Seven United Mine Workers of America miners were hospitalized after gunfire near the Margaret Mine in St. Clair County. The group, traveling in five cars to assist nonunion workers, reported shots from a mountain side as they neared the mine, where union organizers faced opposition.

Two cars were badly smashed on East State Street at Shannon Avenue Saturday night. R H White 302 East State Street suffered a forehead gash when his 1933 sedan was struck from behind by a 1943 coach driven by L C Simmons. Mrs Tim mons in White's car had leg bruises. Simmons and his sister in law Miss Dorothy Cramer were unhurt.
Ella C Weitzell 76 widow of George Weitzell died at 11 50 Sunday night after a week with paralysis. A life long Logan resident she lived on the same property for 70 years. She was a Presbyterian and Touriet Club member. Survived by brother C E Smith of Columbus. Funeral at 2 pm Wednesday Heinlein Chapel Rev R C Babylon officiating Oak Grove Cemetery burial.
Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Elizabeth Cox age 1044 Union County's oldest resident. She died Friday night. Born in Tuscarawas County she moved to Union County in 1884 in a covered wagon. She voted last year for the first time.
