Industrial disarmament for Germany urged by engineers
Five national engineering societies urge postwar Germany be barred from producing key war materials above prewar needs. They propose restricting synthetic oil, nitrogen, high alloy steels, and certain imports while allowing aircraft limits. The plan asks for technical advisers in the peace delegation and advocates public, early disarmament policy to dampen Hitler’s rhetoric and aid Allied aims.
