Miami Holds Half Point Edge In Race For Trophy

Miami leads the Mid American Conference chase for the David E. Reese All-Sports Trophy with 28 points after five sports. Ohio 27 1/4, Bowling Green 24 1/4, Kent State and Western Michigan 18, Toledo 11 1/4, Marshall 9. Ohio's coach Dale Schumacher says gates open noon at Peden Stadium with free admission for OU students and $1 for others.

Injuries Clinic Set During MAC Meets at Ohio University

An injuries clinic for high school coaches, student trainers, and others will run during the Mid-American Conference spring meets at Ohio University. Registration is 8:30 to 9 a.m. in Grover Center lobby followed by sessions 9 to about 11 a.m. in the main arena. Speakers include Otho Davis of Kent State on knee injuries, Jim Nice of Toledo on ankle injuries, and Jack Jones of Western Michigan on heat problems. An open panel discussion, led by trainer Al Hart, closes the event.
