Beaumont March 16 The death of John Bricker aged about 76 occurred suddenly Monday morning at his home of heart failure. He was a pioneer of Dover township and had lived there all his life. He leaves a wife and six children. Funeral services were held at Chauncey conducted by Rev Toumine. Interment was at Nye Cemetery at Chauncey.

Athens inaugurates municipal electric light plant
The Athens municipal electric light plant began operation Saturday night under Superintendent E. Merwin. Thirty eight arc lights illuminate streets where old lamps stood for years. The board plans at least twelve more lights soon. Night lighting will start after a brief completion period. Commercial lighting shows strong demand with 768 lights contracted and more expected.
