Based on Mary J Tippie information a Saturday warrant charged Harry Bennett with fathering Tippie’s child and failing to support it. The child born last April led to Bennett’s initial bond for support, later re arrested for non support. He agreed to pay four dollars monthly for the child’s support.

Man Arrested for Carrying Gun to Prayer Meeting
Harry Hoisington, a brick plant worker, was fined 45 dollars plus costs 8.90 after being charged with carrying concealed weapons to a Hudson addition prayer meeting. He paid the fine and was released. a revolver discharged accidentally as he tried to switch pockets.

Death of Four Year Old Floyd Verity
The four year old Floyd Verity son of Mr and Mrs Alvah Verity of the Plains died Thursday of pneumonia after a short illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Plains church conducted by Rev W L Slatz. This marks a second death in ten days for the Verity family with a daughter dying of the same illness.

Milton Bell of Lah rng was arrested Thursday for intoxication and trying to smash a door. He appeared before the mayor Friday, fined 10 dollars and costs totaling 14.40, paid by his widowed Lah rng mother, and released. Bell has one leg from an accident at the K. and M. depot while intoxicated.
