County Republican Convention Set for Athens Ohio

The Athens County Republican County Central Committee calls a delegate convention at City Hall Athens July 12 1886 11 a m to elect eight delegates eight alternates to the State Convention and other delegates to the Congressional Convention. A primary election will be held July 10 1886 at usual voting places for county officers precinct Central Committee seats. Delegates total seventy four apportioned by Foraker vote. polls open 1 p m to 6 p m. Supervisors listed and duties described. Only known Republicans may vote. Republican Judicial Convention in Fourth Circuit Ohio

A Republican Judicial Convention will meet at Chillicothe Ohio on Wednesday June 30 1886 to nominate a judge for a six year term from February 1887. Delegates are apportioned by votes cast for J B Foraker in 1885 with total delegates 122. The convention to nominate a judge for the Seventh Judicial District of Ohio will convene at City Hall in Athens Ohio at 11 a m on Friday June 25 1886 The representation basis assigns one vote per 200 votes for Foraker and an extra vote per fraction over 100 Votes from each county Athens Washington and others totaling delegates The notice bears witness by J Hathaway M Jewert S Blackaller H Lasley and the judiciary committee signature May 26.
