Republican delegate convention set for Athens Ohio

The Republican voters of Athens county are invited to a delegate convention at City Hall Athens Ohio on Monday July 12 1886 at 1 a m to elect eight delegates and eight alternates to the Republican State Convention and delegates to the Congressional Convention in the 16th district. A Republican primary will be held Saturday July 10 1886 to nominate candidates for Auditor Commissioner and Infirmary Director and one county central committeeman per township and precinct except Nelsonville. Delegates apportioned by Foraker vote with numerous township and precinct lists and precinct officers named. Polls open 1 p m to 6 p m July 10 1886.

Republican Judicial Convention Fourth Circuit Ohio Set for June 30

A Republican Judicial Convention will meet in Chillicothe Ohio on June 30 1886 to nominate a judge for a six year term from February 1887 Delegates from the Fourth Judicial Circuit counties will be allocated at one for every 400 votes cast for J B Foraker in 1885 plus a fraction over 200 yielding 122 delegates The convention is organized by the Fourth Circuit Republican Committee chaired by McH C Jones Arthur May 25 1886
