The Ohio University Board of Trustees met in a lengthy session selecting Dr. Edwin Watts Chubb as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, replacing Ex-President C. W. Super. The Normal College building was named Ellis Hall and the Carnegie Library was named for the new library.

Reeves and McFarland Wedding at Centre Belpre

The marriage of Harley Reeves to Mora McFarland was performed at noon today at the bride’s home in Centre Belpre. Miss McFarland is a Washington County school teacher, and Mr Reeves is the son of Mr and Mrs Charlie Reeves of Alexander township and works as a shipping clerk for F C Stedman Company. They will reside at 105 University Terrace.

Luhrig Miners Go On Strike After Pay Dispute

The Luhrig mines shut down as all miners walk out over pay for deficient entries. Sub-district president John Moore urged workers to return, but the men voted to stay out until State President Green investigates the issue.
