Gallipolis and Point Pleasant firemen fought a harbor fire for six hours starting at 1 p.m. Two dock boats the Allegheny and the Franklin D. Roosevelt stored on the dock were salvage as engines valued near 100000 dollars. Bossworth noted no hull damage and planned cabin rebuild on the Roosevelt.
