Ohio's Longo drafted by Indians in 14th round
Mitch Longo of Ohio University was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 14th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. The Mayfield, Ohio native is expected to sign and begin a pro career in the minors this summer, marking a dream come true for the hometown player. Longo hit .355 over three seasons with 34 doubles, 12 home runs, 87 RBIs, 103 runs, and 29 stolen bases, earning Second Team All-MAC honors in 2016.
