West Union considers tax increase and ordinance readings
The West Union council will require three readings to approve the new ordinance. At the Monday meeting a second reading was held for a resolution to place a 0.2 percent boost to the city's annual income tax on November’s ballot.
Endowment plan ends as Nelsonville schools saved
The Nelsonville Restoration Foundation will dissolve after funding projects and distributing 30000 to the Nelsonville High School Alumni Association scholarship fund. A development company bought the buildings for 95000 and will convert them to apartments. The nonprofit will terminate after nonprofit status ends.
