Ohio University archaeology field class led by Paul Patton reports two ridge top sites near Logan dating to about 1 000 and 3 000 years ago. City eyes West Union Street upgrades in Athens
Enhanced sidewalks and a repaved West Union Street are planned in Athens pending a $75,000 funding package. Endowment to help Nelsonville created within FAO
The Nelsonville Restoration Foundation will dissolve and transfer about 65 000 dollars to the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio to form the Nelsonville Foundation Fund within FAO. Athens Council tables proposed bag fee ordinance
The Athens City Council tabled a second reading of a 10 cent per bag fee ordinance pushed by Councilwoman Jennifer Cochran.
