Beauty and the Beast Situation At Pomeroy Brings Criticism
Meigs County residents are urged to repair and paint the Meigs County Courthouse to match the region’s natural beauty. J. M. Faris, former Pomeroy resident now with Youngstown Sheet and Tube, says neglect harms the county’s reputation. A Pittsburgh visitor praised the area but criticized the courthouse dome’s black paint. The idea of reallocating road funds to courthouse improvement has circulated after an Ohio relief bill.
