Buchtel Boy Wounded in Vietnam Action
Mr and Mrs M E Sullivan of Buchtel report their son Specialist Fourth Class Jerry E Sullivan was wounded in Mekong Delta action with the Ninth Infantry Division. He suffered shrapnel wounds to the legs and a broken leg from a booby trap. He is hospitalized in Japan and expected to be flown home later. Sullivan is a 1967 York High School graduate.

Point Pleasant Board Approves Vocational Center Plans
The Point Pleasant Board of Education unanimously approved building a vocational center costing nearly a half million dollars and advertised for bids due June 19. The 49 acre site north of the junior high will house 33 554 square feet with future expansion. The center includes multiple shops, classrooms and offices funded partly by federal sources with an advisory committee present.
