Drive for Religious Teaching Funds Continues in Meigs County
Pomeroy, Middleport and Rutland faced a shortfall in funding for public school religious instruction. Of $3000 needed, Pomeroy’s share is $1400, with only $900 subscribed. The drive to raise the deficit will continue under Rev. Lewis C. Berger. Meigs County Council of Religious Education oversees the program, which serves third to fifth graders and excludes school funds due to church state separation.
