Ira Howard 78 of Pomona California and former Bishopville resident died May 28 at his home. Son of Samuel and Katherine McCune Howard he left Bishopville years ago to live in the West. He was a horse trainer. Survivors include two brothers Wiley of Trimble and Rees of Albany Georgia. Private services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Fawcett Stone Funeral Home Chesterhill with burial in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call all day Friday and until services Saturday.
