Maple Lawn Brewery opens in Pomeroy

Maple Lawn Brewery near the Ohio River in Pomeroy opened with Hank Cleland as a co owner. Partners from Meigs County and West Virginia counties invested, transforming an old poultry farm site into a two level brewpub with a bottom floor brewery and upstairs tap room. The water comes from a Hemlock Grove sandstone formation and the menu features a range from light to experimental beers including a beech wood smoked Chief Comstock Colsch and a house root beer. Local restaurants can deliver and beer is sold in nearby locations including the Ohio University Inn in Athens.
