Wellston Mayor Optimistic On Town's Next Move
Wellston Mayor Edgar Hayburn expressed optimism after the Ralston Purina plant closed its frozen food operation, noting he expects another industry to take over soon and create jobs for the 200 workers displaced. He also mentioned plans to pursue federal funding for a public pool and said street-painting prep for the school opening will start next week. The council will meet Friday with Columbia Gas of Ohio representatives. the session will be open to the public.
