Death Claims Earl Fuller in Athens Postoffice Family
Hebert Earl Fuller died Saturday noon after six months of illness and six weeks bedbound. Born October 29 1881 in Athens he spent most of his life there except eight years in Charleston West Virginia. He worked at the Athens post office from age sixteen and was active in A club Athenians and Phi Delta Theta. Funeral Monday at 2 o'clock at his home with university quartet and ministers officiating. Interment Union Street Cemetery. He is survived by his mother Mrs Lillie Fuller and two brothers Josiah and Russell. many floral tributes honored his memory.

John C. Davis aged 54, formerly of Athens, died Saturday at his Columbus home. Funeral services were held in Columbus. The remains were brought to Athens Monday for interment at State Street Cemetery, accompanied by his son John Davis. Death was caused by paresis.

A visiting girl seeking work stayed with Mrs. F.M. Shull, grew violently ill after being given a drink and red candy by a young man. The mayor and prosecuting attorney dropped the case, the body was shipped home, and Prosecuting Attorney Foster later ruled death from typhoid fever with no poison found.

E C Gorham and Miss Bessie Totman were united in marriage at her parents home in Broadwell with Rev A L Barngrover officiating. The service was quiet with close friends present and refreshments followed a musical program. The couple will reside in Broadwell after a short wedding trip.
A Good Man Gone
A note from Guysville dated July 7 records the death of Mathew Weisenbach on July 5 at age fifty four. He leaves seven sons and three daughters, his wife having died about ten years ago. Rev. J. B. Mattingly conducted the funeral and the remains were buried at St. John’s cemetery.

Run Down by Street Cars Fatal for Athens Resident
Thomas Carpenter, 65, long-time Harmony area resident east of Athens, was fatally injured Monday in Middleport when struck by a street car. Amputation below the knee failed to save him after arrival at Pomeroy hospital. his body rests in Athens with funeral at Clark's Chapel. He leaves a wife and six children. Civil War veteran of Company 80th O. W. L. Carpenter. He had traveled from Athens to Jackson county West Virginia when the accident occurred.

Mrs Ogier Dies After Long Illness at Hamden Junction
Mrs. James H. Ogier, 62 years and 8 months old, died Saturday at her Hamden Junction home after a prolonged liver cancer illness. She was born in Harrison township, spent her life in Unnon county, and had eight children including Mrs. Maude Kinsel and Jadson H. Ogier. Funeral services were held Monday at Hamden Junction with interment there. Rev. Burns of Wellston officiated. Mrs. Robbins, her daughter, was with her during much of her illness. Mr. Robins was summoned the day of her passing.

After ten days of idleness the Athens Brick company resumed operations on Monday morning. About eight union men returned, with twenty five plant workers total. several new workers were hired.
