Murrell Sharp aged 68 died early Tuesday at the home of Jesse Larch in West Athens from heart trouble. The body was moved to Jerseyville where funeral services were conducted and interment made yesterday.

Death of Arlon Hooper Reported Near Athens
The four and a half year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hooper died Wednesday night last week at their home four miles south of Athens. cause was blood poisoning after about a week of illness. Funeral services were held Friday at Bassett church with Rev. Frye of Albany and burial followed in Bassett cemetery.

Harry T. Hoyt aged 45 died July 1 at his St. Paul home after a five year illness due to paralysis. His remains were brought for burial to Athens, with funeral services at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Pickering conducted by Dr. W. L. Slatz. Interment was in Union Street Cemetery. He was single, formerly of Athens, in the drug trade, and son of Mr. G. Hoyt. Charles Hoyt, his brother, accompanied the body. Relatives attending included Judge and Mrs. Thomas Jones of Jackson and Mrs. West of Milford, sisters of the deceased.

Venerable Athens craftsman John Harvey dies at 77
John Harvey a pioneer of Athens county died Wednesday at his son J R Harvey’s West Dean avenue home after paralysis. He was 77 last November and married to Sarah Rice over fifty years. He worked as a carpenter across Sugar creek and helped run Grosvenor post office in earlier days. Survived by wife and four children living near Sugar creek. funeral at Christian church at 1 pm with Dr. T L Lowe, interment in Chauncey.
