Lukens vows federal fight over Ohio ballot ban
State Sen. Donald E. Lukens said he will pursue a federal court challenge to Ohio Supreme Court findings that barred him from running for governor or other offices for five years due to late expense filings after his 1972 reelection. He criticized the five year penalty as unusual and said he may sue the secretary of state, with appeals to higher courts if needed.
