Body Sighting Prompts Divers Search At Ohio River

In Middleport a report of a boy's body seen in the Ohio River near the Coal Street levee drew Chief C E Parker and a large crowd of divers to the waterfront Thursday. Eddie Stobart, a local high school athlete swimming there, described striking an object five feet under water that seemed like a human body near the submerged levee wall. Despite thorough search with divers and grappling hooks, no body was found though a large cloth was recovered and Parker said no missing-boy report had been received.
