Eldon Wuerch joined as a member. the club reported a Christmas basket project raising 1560 dollars, delivering 194 baskets to Gallia County families.

Dr Charles Parker of Ohio State University will discuss beef cattle growth efficiency. A board meeting at 10 a.m. precedes the 11 a.m. opening with lunch at 11:30 a.m. Parker speaks at 1 p.m. adjournment is 3 p.m.

Three More Fired In Pen Escape From Moundsville Pen
War den C C Boles at the State Penitentiary fired three more guards bringing total dismissals to eight after the Jerry Lee Bridwell escape. Bridwell said he rode out of the prison Monday hidden at the bottom of a barrel filled with trash. Bridwell abducted Howard Funkhouser near Moundsville and forced him to drive toward Huntington.

Car School Bus Collision Cites Youth at Fault
A Hannan Trace school bus and a car collided near Mercerville Road and Route 218 in Mercer County. None of the 43 students aboard were injured. The driver, Terry M. Rankin, 17, Crown City, was cited by state police for failing to yield the right of way.
