Strategic finesse decision in a late bridge hand
In a South hand facing a diamond lead and later club and heart threats, the declarer strips diamonds and clubs, ruffs and cashes high cards, then faces whether to finesse a queen on the spades. The best play avoids a risky finesse, as a correct line guarantees the contract regardless of the spade queen location, with any misstep risking the contract.
