City to ready parking lot and court space next month
The city plans to complete the N College Street parking lot and Municipal Court expansion by January. Mayor Raymond Shepard said the city is acting as its own general contractor, remodeling the former funeral home at 9 N College St. for court space while paying $15,960 to F H Brewer and Co for the project. The health department will move into the same building on December 28 29 with rent arrangements offsetting church charges. Sig Johnson may occupy second floor space.
