Man is found guilty of manslaughter in Coolville shooting
The Athens court retu ned a manslaughter verdict in the August Coolville shooting case of John Burton. The State charged second degree murder for killing Horace Dewey after a confrontation in Bennett Fuller alley. Witnesses testified Dewey attacked, Burton struck and fired twice as Dewey advanced with potential weapons.
