Buckeyes dominate Athens in TVC Ohio opener

Nelsonville York defeats Athens 48 to 22 at Wagner Gym, snapping an 11-game skid against the Bulldogs and moving to 2-0 overall, 1-0 in TVC Ohio. Jessie Addis led NY with 12 points. Tori Campbell added 12 with six boards and four steals off the bench. Athens shot 25 percent and committed 32 turnovers, as coach Paul McNeal rebuilds the Bulldogs.

Bobcats Dominate IPFW In Home Opener Victory

Ohio University women’s basketball improved to 4-2 as 29 turnovers didn’t stop a 79-52 victory over IPFW at the Convocation Center. Bobcats guard Kiyanna Black scored a game high 21 points on 10 shots, while Quiera Lampkins added 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. IPFW shot poorly, finishing 27.5 percent from the field and 4.8 percent from three as Ohio controlled the game with efficient shooting and strong interior play.
