Mrs Merle Ballas 19 a former assistant s model is held for Covington Kentucky police on a probable bigamy charge after a judge fined her $100 for adultery. In court she testified she wed James Mitchell 22 of Belle Vernon Pennsylvania on October 5 in Covington and she and Ballas 27 wed December 11 1926 in Rittman Ohio.
