A mural on the Nelsonville TV Cable maintenance wall, commissioned by the Nelsonville Historic Foundation Association and the Baird Brothers Co. Foundation, presents five panels from Nelsonville Shadows by Barry O’Keefe. It traces Adena mounds, clear-cutting, canals, a locomotive, and the Nelsonville Bypass, with heights ranging from 13 to 18 feet.
Several tornadoes swept central and northern Indiana and northwest Ohio. an EF3 tornado hit Kokomo with winds up to 152 mph, toppling a Starbucks and damaging homes. Ohio counties reported roof and barn damage. KISS concert in Toledo briefly halted by a tornado warning. National Weather Service surveys indicate at least seven tornadoes, with more possible as crews assess rural areas near Fort Wayne and Mace.
