Undersea Big-eyed Squid Wows Nautilus Crew

Hotel plans add three story hillside building and parking

The project envisions a three story hotel with eight guest rooms on the lowest level and 11 rooms on each of the two upper floors totaling 30 rooms. The street level would feature check in, lounge and laundry, with parking conditions including off site spaces deed restricted to the hotel and valet service. The planning commission required dumpster relocation for two extra on site spaces and coordination on infrastructure with the city engineer, plus possible zoning relief if off site spaces exceed 250 feet. Separately a proposal to add two floors to the Matters Building would create 18 beds across five new apartments, with sufficient onsite parking and Title 41 review planned for formal consideration.
