United States Attorney in New York says surface scratched after 73 individuals indicted for illegal whisky traffic via spurious prescriptions. STROUDSBURG Pa Aug 5 Richard Washburn Child former U S Ambassador to Italy sues wife Maude Parker Child for divorce. Papers were impounded, suit filed June 26. Mrs Child is a noted writer. The couple wed in August 1916.
The K. T. Crossen post chose Howard Goodwin and Ansil Davis as delegates to the American Legion state convention in Elyria on September 13 and 14. Francis Lavelle C. J. Ailstock and Dr. L. G. Bean are alternates. The post will not have a booth at the fair this year.
Kenneth Baird aged eight suffered serious head burns when his celluloid Helen Wills visor caught fire. Authorities say a concentrating magnifying glass focused on the visor caused the blaze.
