Horse and Buggy Stolen Near Amesville
In Amesville on Saturday a horse and buggy were found abandoned near N. E. Deans. Deputy Sheriff Charles Ward traced the vehicle to Barnast Row from Lancaster who had driven it to Lancaster to fetch a doctor and left it briefly hitched. The buggy and occupants were later found at a road house above Tablertown after a confrontation. the thief’s identity remains unknown.

Infant Luella Chappell Dies Sudden in Athens Visit
The 19 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Chappell died Saturday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Pickering in this city during a visit. Cholera infantum was listed as the cause. The family had arrived in Athens from Lodi last week and the child had seemed well before sudden decline. The remains were taken to Graham Chapel for funeral services.
