Ohio biologists warn proposed rules endanger rattlesnake study
Two southern Ohio biologists warn that suggested state forestry rules banning electronic monitoring of wildlife in state forests threaten ongoing rattlesnake research. They log snake locations from Tar Hollow, a 16,000 acre forest south of Columbus, to track movement. ODNR says rules aim to protect researchers, but critics say they curb scientific inquiry and could hinder management of forest ecosystems and endangered species.
